Sravan Kakani, M.D.

Dr. Sravan Kakani is a board-certified psychiatrist with experience caring for patients in county, university, and federal healthcare settings. He grew up in Huntsville, Alabama, and has pursued diverse interests during his education including a Fulbright Award in South Korea, a Research Fellowship at the National Institutes of Health, and clinical software implementation at Epic. He is currently exploring the integration of culinary medicine with psychiatry. Dr. Kakani draws from these experiences and his knowledge of medications and psychotherapies
to improve the emotional health of his patients.

Dr. Kakani also holds an academic faculty appointment through which he teaches both psychiatry residents and medical students. In his leisure time, Dr. Kakani explores outdoor spaces and supports the craft of artists he meets along the way.
